Hello, I am Slr's Brother, as you all probably know, Slr went off to college. Shortly after on September 18th, 2007, he died from an acute asthma attack. It is just too much. He always did such a great job as both a Mod for the board, and for the Car Of The Month Contest as well. I did not know where he had gone at the end of last year and I was already missing him, but now that we have found out what has happened, I for one, will miss him even that much more. Rest In Peace My Friend! I would like to thank his Brother, Zain, for taking the time to let us know what had happened, I know it must have been very hard for him to come on here to tell us what had come of his brother.. In addition, my condolences go out Zain and to the rest of his family and friends. SLR was a good guy, definitely one of the most mature forum-goers I've known. I'm impressed that he's helped out on this forum for so long, shows that he's willing to lend a hand in the most difficult of situations. Gonna miss reading his posts, that's for sure. Zain, I hope you and your family are coping alright; wish you all the best for the future.

He was really dedicated to xmodrc and I still remember recruiting him to be a mod - I actually wanted him to be my protege back then, so as to be my replacement. Cy beat me to that and gave him admin powers - just goes to show what a standup guy he was. He didn't need my help since all of his qualities were easily seen. I spoke to him on the phone occassionally, and he really was a nice guy. He will definately be missed - I cried when I found out about this (which was about 10 minutes ago). I know I've been MIA for a while, but the loss of Kareem overshadows all of that. I will truly miss him, and now I know why he hasn't called me in a while. He truly is in a better place - I will pray that my friends and family who have gone before me will welcome him with open arms.

I found out about it on my birthday, even though I got the news late enough that I did not spoil my days activities there is only one thing I remember about that day. I talked to him August 21st briefly, Its just strange. I remembered pages and pages worth of chat in an instant and never thought about how young he was till I saw his DOB in the article.
